First Flight Productions, LLC, based in Harrisonburg, Virginia came about from the producers' interest in their own family histories. We believe that part of knowing ourselves comes from an understanding of our past, our families, and our heritage. We realize that connections from the past and the discovery of those connections are great stories. As we talked to more people, we heard more great tales and accounts that we felt should be shared. Our show is our means of sharing those stories as we all search Across Generations.

Elizabeth Simmons spent 13 years with a Fortune 100 company as an editor, graphic designer, and photographer. Simmons has designed and consulted for and co-produced several albums and concert events in the Shenandoah Valley including the Shenandoah Records release of Music Of The Shenandoah, Somewhere In My Youth and When Acorns Appear. Simmons is the publicist for James Madison University's School of Theatre and Dance and editor of their newsletter, backSTAGE.

Russ Hodge is the Founder of 3 Roads Communications, Inc., a television programming, video production, and strategic communications firm with offices in Frederick, MD, and New York City. Mr. Hodge, an Emmy Award-winning producer with more than two decades experience in news, public affairs and documentary production and programming, has created and executive produced hundreds of hours of network television for domestic and international distribution.

Cynthia Scott-Johnson is an award-winning communications strategist with specialized expertise in television production and distribution. Ms. Scott-Johnson brings over 25 years of experience planning and implementing regional, national and international communications strategies working for government and private sectors at the highest levels.
Scott-Johnson provides clients with Strategic Communication counsel, develops video products ranging from television documentaries, commercials, live event production, Public Service Announcements, Video News Releases, Bites and Cover Packages, streaming video for the web, and presentation pieces to target specific government or corporate audiences. Her public relations consulting includes media training, developing media materials, managing press conferences, media placement and booking, and station relations for television programming.
Scott-Johnson led award winning communication campaigns for the Air Force 50th Anniversary and the Centennial of Flight Commemorative Year by developing innovative relationships with the National Football League, NASCAR, The Tournament of Roses, and other entertainment venues. As a follow-on to President Clinton's Summit of the Americas, she directed communications strategy for the first-ever meeting of the Western Hemisphere Defense Ministers. Ms. Scott-Johnson is recognized for outstanding video production with numerous Telly, Aurora, and Communicator awards.
